So, Do You Think I'll Make A Good Pole Dancer?

I'm not so sure, but I'm certainly willing to give it a try, because really, who wouldn't want to have that among their set of skills?

A new gym (?) opened near my home called The Girls Room and they offer pole dancing classes for $25 per class. I think that's a little steep per class, but I'm willing to give it a try once my ankle is nice and strong again. The girls look pretty toned and the instructor told me it really strengthens your core.

The flyer announces it as the "all in one workout" for cardio and strength training and promises results in six workouts. I'm not sure about you, but 6 workouts sounds pretty good to me.

What do you think? Would you try a pole dancing class?

Oh I would be a disaster at pole dancing! I'd probably slip or fly off the thing while twirling around it.

It would be funny for everyone else watching though.

YES! I actually have done a class there (at the Dallas location). Let me tell you...it is SOOOOO difficult! You have to have super-human strength to do those moves. Our instructor showed us her best moves after class and she was phenomenal. I have a new respect for good pole dancers. One piece of advice, wear shorts and a tank top...you actually need the skin to pole contact.

I would, but I agree...25 is a little steep.

I would LOVE to take a pole dancing class! The price is a bit steep but sounds about right, actually. My regular dance classes are $18 an hour, and pole dancing classes are $25.

I would take them, but I'm to frugal for $25 per class. That's crazy!

If I weighed about 50lbs less I would totally do it. Right now I don't think I could. But it really does sound fun.

I am definitely not one for pole dancing. If I were to take a class, I would have to be incredibly intoxicated.

I am neither coordinated or graceful, so for me, that would be a no. That's not to say I wouldn't love to. Just that I know my strengths and this would not be one of them. :)

I would if I were in better shape. Now, it would be too embarassing.

If I wasn't so body concious I would probably try it. I looks fun and it would be a good workout. At $25 a pop, you would have to go out and use those new skills to pay for it. :}

I tried it once and it was a disaster. I ended up with a sprained ankle and many bruises.
I think pole dancing is only for the very co-ordinated!

in this economy, it couldn't hurt to add those skills to your resume. You know, just in case.

Thanks for the book!
